Loverly. The symmetry works well for the subject, and the fact you got down low to put some interest in the foreground. Like the B&W affect to.

Many thanks AFB. The featureless blue sky made a B&W conversion seem the sensible thing to do although the degraded look of the paintwork etc also helped point to that treatment.

Cheers.

Beautiful spot. Getting nearer home for a visit to your sister?

The visit to my old haunts was brief. Yesterday I drove up to Ullerpool, nearly at the top of Scotland, to catch the ferry to Stornoway tomorrow. I have a month to explore the Outer Hebrides, top to bottom. I'll chronicle my progress on my blog...

That looks stunning. The contrast between the sky and the light shining on the lighthouse is incredible. Red filter? It is lovely. I really like a B&W picture with deep contrast and an almost gel like look. Very nice.

Cheers Kenoh. Polarising filter at capture time to really get an intense blue sky - simply darkened the blue tones in the B&W conversion to get the almost black sky.

Some Bluebells I photographed earlier today. As my D7100 is getting a sensor clean, I had to keep swapping lenses a lot more than usual today. 105 mm Macro for this one.

Continuing the blue macro theme - here is a cornflower in my garden from this afternoon.

I do like a good blue photo. Seriously though, both lovely rich colours. Nicely done both of you.

Went back today to a subject I shot in IR several years ago. A tree at the Swan Point Cemetery in Providence looking out over a body of water. I got there later than I wanted which influenced the highlights on the leaves and the shadows on the ground. There was someone already there shooting birds and I wanted to stay out of his way, so had a limited choice of shooting spots for composition. Not sure what I can ultimately achieve with this subject. It's a current work in progress for me, but felt like sharing what I got today.

That is really beautiful. Love the colours of the tree against the blue sky.

I think that you get your photography membership card taken off of you if you don't take at least one macro dandelion clock photo at this time of the year. So here is the obligatory shot....
