That is really beautiful. Love the colours of the tree against the blue sky.

Another view of the lighthouse. Comments always appreciated.

Lovely.

I love the texture of the waves in the background. Cool shot!

Thanks for the kind comments. Greatly appreciated. Going to go back at different times of day to see how the light changes things. The cemetery opens at 8am which will put the sun lower in the sky and highlight different parts of the tree and change the shadows in the foreground. Also want to see it in the early afternoon with the sun making all the leaves bright, though part of what I like is the silhouette. May decide the original time of day is best, but use a different lens that plays better in IR to let me get something sharper.

This is an unusual water pipe that near Toketee Falls, Oregon, it is made of wood planks.

That's certainly unusual! Makes for an interesting photo though. I wonder if it's a regular pipe overlaid with wood? I can't think of any substance you'd pipe through wooden pipes. Unless it's whiskey, in which case get a drill!

Really enjoying your shots of Nepal Melissa. Just a heads-up in case you're not aware...the link to your SmugMug site in your signature doesn't seem to be working. The link goes to the main SmugMug site.

Thank you, and thanks for noticing. I tried to change my smugmug account back to free from paid, but for some reason I couldn't figure out how to do it so I cancelled my account and am making a new one. I should change my signature in the meantime...

For now, another from Nepal (Phewa Lake, Pohkara):

Lovely composition. The clarity of the boats contrasts nicely with the misty general background. My favourite from Nepal so far.

If your lawn's that big, when can we all come round for tea?

Cheers :)

Hugh

I checked with the Mrs, but she says no

We have loads of jungle back here which keeps blossoming into gorgeous flowers but I have no idea what any of it is!

I need to try to look after it as it is beautiful. I feel such a bad chap for not being more clued up on this all.

If you want to post or pm some pics I'll try to identify some of them. Disclaimer: I'm not very au fait with rose varieties. :)

An abstract water shot for today.

I like this very much. I'm rather partial to abstracts and love the shapes and colouring on this one.

Lovely shot. I like the way the background is made up of similar colours to the boats, but muted.

No wonder you've got so many dandelions in your lawn!!! :)
