Thought I'd post one. Glencoe, Scotland. This is actually the exact spot of the famous shot out of James Bond Skyfall!

Went back today to a subject I shot in IR several years ago. A tree at the Swan Point Cemetery in Providence looking out over a body of water. I got there later than I wanted which influenced the highlights on the leaves and the shadows on the ground. There was someone already there shooting birds and I wanted to stay out of his way, so had a limited choice of shooting spots for composition. Not sure what I can ultimately achieve with this subject. It's a current work in progress for me, but felt like sharing what I got today.

I love the texture of the waves in the background. Cool shot!

Stac Pollaidh, near Ullapool...

Beautiful - one of the rare dry days up there - or at least dry for long enough to get the shot!

Ditto !

Two of the loveliest and often most atmospheric locations in the UK (IMHO)

Really enjoying your shots of Nepal Melissa. Just a heads-up in case you're not aware...the link to your SmugMug site in your signature doesn't seem to be working. The link goes to the main SmugMug site.

Mine too! I mowed the bugger at the weekend and already there are dandelion clock stalks about a foot long going in the middle of it. Nice plants don't seem to want to grow but the weeds love it.

One man's weed is another man's plant. Just change perspective and go with it MacRy. They've banned the use of herbicides here so unless we want to spend all our free time digging the buggers up, we've learned to embrace the variety and diversity of plant growth in the lawn. :)

Haha... I have a similar yet different issue. Having moved into the new house not 6 months ago, this is our first spring here.

The guy before us was an avid gardener apparently and was known for his roses in particular.

We have loads of jungle back here which keeps blossoming into gorgeous flowers but I have no idea what any of it is!

I need to try to look after it as it is beautiful. I feel such a bad chap for not being more clued up on this all.

Oh go on then, one more dandelion clock.

It is. It's pretty much glued to the XE1 at the minute :)

Good! leave it there, it is working for you...

Seriously, you are putting out some crackers with it. Did you use a tripod on the dandelion clock? or where you hand holding it as usual?

Thanks mate :) Hand held. I can't be arsed carrying tripods around with me. Kind of defeats the object of having a lightweight mirrorless camera for me.
