Thanks but i didnt actually notice either the foliage nor the forget me not until i put it on the computer, i told you I wasn't very good at this photography lark! :) I'll keep trying and next time be sure to remove any unwanted distractions, cheers.
Don't worry, that sort of thing comes with time and experience. I'm still noticing things that shouldn't be in the photo once I upload to my Mac ;)

Cheers :)

In a lake of fire.

You are absolved Ken.

So this’ll give you a laugh, you horrible people:

I went shooting today (guns not cameras) and the range I was on had targets that you move up and down the range with a hand operated pulley system. I was winching my targets back in and a spider descended from the ceiling and landed on my hand. Obviously I freaked out and let out a shriek like an eight year old girl and bolted for away from it. Clearly the best environment to act like a massive wuss. I’m sure someone thought I’d been shot.

so in a way, this forum foreshadowed your encounter!
cool beans!!

On Friday's Mindful Photography group visit to a botanic park in the hills I got to play with a camera for the session as there were a couple of participants sick and not able to attend.

I'm loving this 17-50mm f/2.8 Tamron lens and want to get a bunch more of them to eventually replace all the 18-55mm kit lenses!

Canon 550D, Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, Spot Metering, Aperture Priority
ISO 100, 50mm, f/2.8, 1/1000

I ain't much of a landscape photographer, and nightscapes are definitely still way beyond my skills.
Focus issues, exposure issues, noise galore and the rest of the usual suspects, but it's ok, maybe I'll become better, maybe not.

Looks good to me. I like night scapes but I'm too lazy to go out at night!

I like it and wonder how it would look with a bit of light painting on the foreground building or a small light source inside the building.
