Superb.
Ooh... Look at that elevation! (Sorry... Couldn't help myself...)
Hopefully it was right-side-up when he took that!
Agree
Sunrise behind the mountains. That tree in front ruined the shot.
Very nice. I wish my garden looked like that.Peace Lily caught in the light....
I'd clone out the foolige on the top right. But agree the middle one adds a point of interest. The same line of trees as before, from a different angle. The small one in between made it interesting. I assume they had to replant one.
Beautiful.
I prefer this one.Same leaf as yesterday but this time at F2 and in black and white.

No hacksaw in your camera bag?
Thrush maybe? Doesn't look like our sparrows.Bird posing for me.
Anyone know what type of bird this is? I would say a sparrow. Thanks!
Seriously? We also have a rat that visits. Can you pop round?

Thanks anotherscotsman. I'm glad you got to take a ride on one...they're a lot of fun and a very charming part of San Francisco's history.I couldn't get a worthwhile shot of the trams myself in my afternoon there- had to make do with a short trip on one. Nicely done.
A beautiful print and frame worthy image. Well done Florian. When in Rome...

We have rats in our garden too, i dont mind so long as they stick to the bottom of the garden and stay away from the house. It gives the lcal cats something to chase and they leave the birds alone. I did get one a few weeks back with a huge rat trap. I used a spade to finally to see him off, you would be surprised how resilient they are the little **&$*^%$@£^&$'s. Can i borrow a shotgun?
Looking good. What are the laws like for operating one in your country? Here in the US, they put quite a few restrictions on them, because people ruin everything.Ok, now you can have elevation.....

2nd test flight at the sports ground next to my house. 5 raw shots bracketed and merged in Aurora HDR.

That is something that I was very mindful of, and stopped me getting a drone for a long time. NZ law says you must:
It is the last 2 that caused me most concern, but I have since found that the city council where I live grants permission to fly above most public spaces, beaches etc without needing to get a permit or special permission, and if I avoid flying above people and generally don't be a pest I should be fine. Of course I will have to check out the local rules if I ever want to fly outside of the local council area.
- be able to see the aircraft with your own eyes
- not fly your aircraft higher than 120 metres (400 feet) above ground level
- have knowledge of airspace restrictions that apply in the area you want to operate
- not fly closer than four kilometres from any aerodrome (unless certain conditions are met)
- when flying in controlled airspace, obtain an air traffic control clearance issued by Airways
- not fly in special use airspace without the permission of the controlling authority of the area (e.g. military operating areas or restricted areas)
- have consent from anyone you want to fly above
- have the consent of the property owner or person in charge of the area you are wanting to fly above

I think this maybe a Mistle Thrush but i am not sure because his chest is more striped than mottled. Please let us know when/if you find out what it is.
Nice picture by the way, he stands out from the shrub/wood very well.
