These are awesome. What came to mind, was "The keepers of the Heavens" gloomy feeling to it I guess. What are your settings?

Haha, thanks!
It was a terribly overcast morning, I was at f/6.3 1/2000 sec and ISO 1000. 484mm for the first and 600mm second shot at around 8am. I might share a couple more of the series before the month is over if there is some interest...
Tomorrow however is a special day which calls for a special picture!

Today is a special day, it's my dad's birthday. So I'm posting my favorite shot of my recent trip in his honor.
Growing up, I remember it was a big privilege when we were allowed to look at birds with his binoculars. They were so big (or I was so little) I couldn't hold them up for long periods of times, but it didn't matter, we were looking at birds through binoculars!
I'm sure those experiences were what first got me into birds and ultimately into bird photography.
So here it is, red headed woodpeckers making sure there will be another generation:

Bluebell Walk

A small, lightly beaten path meanders it's way through a thin covering of Bluebells close to where I live. One of the last images taken on my Fuji X-T2 before it went for a swim in the sea.

Fuji X-T2 (RIP) with XF16-55mm f2.8 lens (fate unknown). Handheld with no filters for a change.

What will replace your X-T2? Just curious, because I bought an X-T3 last week, and I'm learning the ins and outs. I really like the form factor.
