OK, your new assignment is to get a photo of the "mating wheel".;) What camera do you use?

I used a Canon 7dii and 100-400mmLii for this shot. The Damselflies won't allow me to get too close so a macro lens simply wouldn't suffice on this occasion, everytime i came within 1.5metres of them, they were off!
I do have a shot of the late stage of the mating wheel on my Flickr page showing the female depositing her eggs under/in some weed.
I'll take up your challenge and see if i can get the full wheel next time.

Was playing around with Lightroom today and couldn't pass up a chance to share this... playing with the color balance can do some wacky things! :p

Note: This wasn't intended to be any work of photographic mastery at all, I just was playing around and got this xD

One thing I like to do, which people have undoubtedly noticed, is to experiment with the camera and the subject I'm shooting....and then at times I have taken it all to the next level, playing with filters and such once arrived at the post-processing piece, too. It's fun, it's interesting and more often than not, quite surprising what results can come from playing around and experimenting! I don't expect to be putting my work on gallery walls, it's just for my own interest and my own amusement and I enjoy sharing some of my more interesting shots....and that's why I feel comfortable about casually experimenting. It is not going to make or break a nonexistent career -- while I love shooting and working with cameras and lenses, this is not how I make (or made) a living and it's not why I'm involved with photography. I take pictures for the sheer joy of it all.....

My wife took the day off so no duck photo today.
Instead, we thought we would try a hike to a (fairly) local grotto. Too many people there. We would've had to wait 20-30 minutes to see the grotto. We stopped and took some photos of these horses (despite a sign saying we shouldn't—the rancher doesn't own the road!).

Yes! I'm not one to normally do anything to my pictures, but I have started playing around a bit more and seeing what works and what doesn't. I am very experimental in my utilization of lenses and other camera accessories, often trying to make the most out of limited equipment. Photography is fun in general but also because it is someplace where you can truly break the rules once you know them and get cool and interesting results.
