Not that far, perhaps 15 feet. It was taken at Blackpoint which is a one way lane elevated dirt berm drive through marshlands and internationally known birding destination. This was on a canal along the road perhaps as wide as the road. Initially thought was a juvenile water moccasin but zooming to pixel peek, not a viper head, so is a non-poisonous water snake.
The junction of the Popham’s Eau and the Middle Level 16 Foot River at Three Holes in Cambridgeshire.

Closeup of the individual sand bottles and the mixed sand from the wedding. I didn't notice at the time I took the picture, but in the upper right is one of the cars on the skylift.
Dang, after I posted this was looking through photos and had a free range turkey photo which would have been appropriate for today. Will post it tomorrow.

Shot this in Black and white since the beach pier is pretty much empty which reminds me of the past
Just a crappy grab shot, but fun. This was taken in a little park in Angels Camp, California. The boy was working his frog out for the Jumping Frog Jubilee, held every year in Angels Camp.

It's an abstracted view (via deliberate blur) of berries on some end of season shrubs.
I was out in the Fens walking the dog when this skein of geese came over. I only had the RX100 with me but I think the little camera did well for a long range shot.
