White-breasted nuthatch. They are pretty bold when food is available (at least here). Just stand still and they will keep coming back. Cute little chirp they make too.

Late afternoon yesterday, I spotted a nice sunset building up and dashed out of the house. By the time I got to a good spot it was starting to fade, but I managed to get one shot in before it all turned grey ;)

Thanks ! This bird is one of a pair(?) that lives year round on the Palisades in northern NJ.. It's sitting on a branch about 3-400 feet above the Hudson . Taken from the clifftop about 50 feet or so from the bird , and cliff edge . Last Spring I got a few shots of it in the same location , but the light just wasn't right . Since then , I've gone back a bunch of times , but 'nobody was home' , until a few days back .
