I’ve been in this thread a few weeks now, and I’m just an amateur photographer that when I see something, I try to take advantage of the lighting, angle and uniqueness of the photo. That said, there’s a lot of talent in this thread, [far beyond my reach], but if I had to say who I think has some of the most unique photos that stand out to me personally, would be Molly and ClixPix. And then Stillcrazymans nature shots are always incredible to look at.

Press on!

Never say that you aren’t good enough. Remember that the fantastic photographers on this forum were all crap at one point. Nobody picks up a camera and starts taking amazing photos straight away. It takes time and practice - lots and lots of practice. Plus research and guidance.

If you want to improve then immerse yourself in YouTube tutorials and read photography articles. Most of all - if you see a photo you like posted here, ask the photographer how they took it and what their approach was (and how they post processed it). I learned loads of useful information from the wonderful talented people on this forum and it is a great place to share ideas and information.

Never, ever accept that you won’t be able to attain the same level of competence as the people you admire. You can achieve anything you put your mind to if you really want it enough. Believe in yourself and your abilities.

Have you had the 100-400 long? I tried a used one, but the zoom ring was in rough shape so I had to send it back. It's got some nice sharpness to it, even if it's a bit heavy.
I've had it around 6-8 months , I guess . Like yours , mine was 'new to me' . I don't think I want to walk around all day with it , thought it's probably not as bad as my full frame Canon and 100-400 . My sample's zoom ring gets a bit stiff towards 300 and up , though it seems to have loosened up a bit ; or maybe I'm just getting used to it . Not gritty or anything , you just have the feel that lots of stuff is getting moved around inside the lens . It was picked up originally for a trip to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons I'd planned for the fall , but the virus had other ideas . So the trip's gotta wait , and I get time to practice with it as the lens is definitely 'specialist optics'
