i read that people really like capture one for fuji files but so far they match my nikon files pretty easily in lr. 🤷🏼♀️ i did our family photo with the fuji and individual photos with the nikon for different focal lengths and easily matched all the images.Another older RAF. B&W converted in On1, the only editor I have that knows what to do with RAFs!

Yeah, I don't have CC or anything, and I don't even have a Fuji camera right now. I have heard Capture 1 is one of the better solutions for RAF though. I think DxO has finally figured out what to do with them as well, but I don't know how good their first take on it is. PureRAW1 didn't support them, but PureRAW2 does.i read that people really like capture one for fuji files but so far they match my nikon files pretty easily in lr. 🤷🏼♀️ i did our family photo with the fuji and individual photos with the nikon for different focal lengths and easily matched all the images.
i’ve actually had a harder time matching two different nikon bodies in the past.

I had a recent version of Capture One Pro that did produce some great results.
I just didn’t care for the interface.
Totally! There are so many great options for processing raw images, it is often more work than its worth to change from something we're used to. Opposite to you, I use Capture One and love it, and dislike Lr's interface/UX, so for me it isn't worth the pain of moving to, even if I wished to do so. I love the choices out there!I tried Capture One Pro also, for the perpetual license, and found it confusing. Probably comparing it to Lightroom, which I currently use.

For colour or something else?i read that people really like capture one for fuji files but so far they match my nikon files pretty easily in lr. 🤷🏼♀️ i did our family photo with the fuji and individual photos with the nikon for different focal lengths and easily matched all the images.

Yes, for color. I never could get my D700 and D800 to match well. If I shot in studio with the same strobe, I needed different Kelvin white balance numbers. The algorithms and rendering were just really different. For colour or something else?
Do you use a Color checker passport and create profiles for them? If you did they would be spot on.Yes, for color. I never could get my D700 and D800 to match well. No, i just use my eyeballs. 🙂 I didn't use them in tandem very often that it really mattered, so I just fussed with them in post.Do you use a Color checker passport and create profiles for them? If you did they would be spot on.
I compare myself to Ansel Adams all the time!View attachment 2121043
I am in no way comparing myself to Ansel Adams, but I understand why he spent years remaking the same prints over and over again with different editing. I've spent more time on this "simple film" image than almost any digital image.
