Took this while driving home.

I took the liberty of correctly copying the Image Address from your Flickr link. I think this is what you want to show us.

It's a bit dated by now, but there is a tutorial on posting from Flickr in the link in my sig. It's in the first post of the thread, too.

Took a quick trip to NYC (Before the government shut down), and it turned out that every tourist wanted to get on top of the Rockerfeller Center for sunset. It was a fantastic people-watching opportunity.

Shot this on a houseboat vacation a couple weeks ago with friends.... just floating around behind the houseboat. I love that one of the guys is being pranked with his head shoved in the water... :D

This thing is called the Unisphere . It was part of the 1964 NY World's Fair , and got left behind when the Fair closed in '65 . The property is now a big park . There was a ring of fountains surrounding the 'sphere , along with reflecting pools stretching back from one side . They were all emptied out , don't know if it's permanent or just because the season is ending. I was scoping the location for a night shot but now maybe I'll wait until Spring to see if the fountains are working.

Just do what the sign says.

Your local fairs must be friendlier than ours. I don't even like taking my phone to one let alone my camera. Good way to get mugged!

Kind of reminds me of the Death Star under construction. Nice.

A building I took some captures of last weekend, I got back to it for this one that shows it being oppressed by one of its neighbours much better.

Oh how I wish I could be photographing such beautiful Fall colors this year. What a brilliant display. Where is this, by the way?

A very striking image, ijohn. It has a great counter-clockwise flow out of the UL corner. Nice use of B&W too.

Definitely need to hit up the salton sea one of these days. It's a couple of hours away from me. But in the dumpy part of the state, so I've really never had much of a reason to go out there...

In other news, took delivery today of my brand new (and first) external speedlight and a set of remote triggers.
I can't wait to go home and play around with them. My first foray into speedlighting...Should be interesting...to say the least.

This is great!

My first attempt at car light trails. I'm reasonably pleased with it.

Thank you, Ms. P! I am so pleased you like it. This spot is just north of Butte, MT beyond a small town/"suburb" known as Walkerville. I had returned to this spot after taking a sunrise photo I posted the day before but the sunlight never really lit up the mountain range to the south so I gave up. I walked up the road a little ways and was coming back when the sun peaked out from some clouds to the east and lit up these trees. The mountain range was darkened by storm clouds moving into our area. I had my 70-200 lens on because I was trying to get a shot of a moose hidden in a grove of trees so I handheld it and zoomed in on this patch of trees and fired away. The sun went behind the clouds after about 2 minutes.

Early morning walk along the cliffs at Bowleaze Cove in Dorset shot using a 5D2 + 70-200mm f4 IS, very cold morning but the colours were amazing

Thanks Phrasikleia. This is one of my favourite buildings here. I actually went on Thursday afternoon to capture the view of this building where it and it's neighbour form a triangle in which you see the sky. However, some doofus had forgotten to put the quick-release plate back on their camera body after attaching a lighting rig for macro, so the tripod was of no use to me!

This made up for it though.

This is great!

Thanks.

You've gotta be chuffed with that! ;)
