Tiger's Clough 2
by another scotsman, on Flickr

Really like the vibrancy of the image and the exposure time is spot on the get the water effect. I think my only niggle here and it is minor, is that the position the image was taken from has put too much emphasis on the rock in the front there.

but otherwise another winner anotherscotsman.

Cheers Kenoh - I agree about the emphasis on the rock. (Un)fortunately it was deliberate! I like the colours and atmosphere myself but there is something lacking in the composition but I haven't put my finger on it exactly.

Hmm, it isnt popping like your images normally do, but I will keep quiet now before I embarrass myself.... :)

Juvenile Bald Eagle

D4S_6841-XL.jpg

Bald Eagles develop their white head feathers and yellow beak when they mature at approximately 5 years of age. This eagle is probably a second year bird.

Photographing this young guy was a rare and exciting opportunity for me as he's been hanging out at a local lakefront beach. They usually pass very high overhead during the spring and fall migration...far out of lens reach.

Lovely. It's nice of him to hang around on the ground for a bit for you.
