Oh the R5 and R6 are amazing. My main box is a 5D Mark IV and also have a 6D and 7D Mark II (used for Birds in flight mostly). My plan is to sell all three and get an R5.I took this photo near Chena Lakes in North Pole, Alaska. I started with a Rebel XT, then 40D, and finally with the 7D, at which point I began taking photos of the Auroras, wildlife, and so on. I still use a 5D II as a backup camera for the Auroras and landscapes, but am presently using a Canon R6 for everything. Once I bought the 5DII it became my primary camera for taking photos of the Auroras, and the 7D became one for wildlife photography. So the R6 has now become my primary camera, and the 5DII for the backup one for the occasional landscape and Northern Lights when I don't want to swap lenses.

All my EF L lenses (up to 400mm) work quite well "adapted" to my R6 (bought the EOS EF-R adapter). I did purchase the RF 100-500mm L, plus the RF 1.4X extender, but can only use this combo with the R6.Oh the R5 and R6 are amazing. If/ when I get an R5 or 6, I will likely be using adapted EF lenses for quite a while (cuz those RF lenses ain't cheap!)All my EF L lenses (up to 400mm) work quite well "adapted" to my R6 (bought the EOS EF-R adapter).
