no, sorry. I' ve heard it's pretty flat, so I ve avoided it
:D

have been to a dozen of states, we chose the hilly ones

Yeah, those 'fly over states' are so flat, you can see cars from miles away. No wonder they are tornado alley, there's nothing to slow them down. You can look out and see clumps of trees that look like oasis', and any overpasses stick out like mountains... *shrug*

Got bored last week so shot some B&W in Central Park .....
pavilionresizecopy_DxO.jpg

Shot on T-Max 100ISO using a Canon Eos 1 and a 35 f2 IS . Light orange filter . Probably around f4and 1/160
Developed and scanned onto a CD giving me around a 1800x1200 image at 72DPI. Enlarged 2x via Topaz Gigapixel , exported into Dxo Photolab ,dehazed and shadow areas lifted some using Clear View .

I took this photo near Chena Lakes in North Pole, Alaska. I started with a Rebel XT, then 40D, and finally with the 7D, at which point I began taking photos of the Auroras, wildlife, and so on. I still use a 5D II as a backup camera for the Auroras and landscapes, but am presently using a Canon R6 for everything. Once I bought the 5DII it became my primary camera for taking photos of the Auroras, and the 7D became one for wildlife photography. So the R6 has now become my primary camera, and the 5DII for the backup one for the occasional landscape and Northern Lights when I don't want to swap lenses.

AlaskaMoose lives in Alaska :)
Oh the R5 and R6 are amazing. My main box is a 5D Mark IV and also have a 6D and 7D Mark II (used for Birds in flight mostly). My plan is to sell all three and get an R5.

All my EF L lenses (up to 400mm) work quite well "adapted" to my R6 (bought the EOS EF-R adapter). I did purchase the RF 100-500mm L, plus the RF 1.4X extender, but can only use this combo with the R6.

If/ when I get an R5 or 6, I will likely be using adapted EF lenses for quite a while (cuz those RF lenses ain't cheap!)

View of Sebago Lake from Standish, Maine with Mt. Washington and the White Mountains in the background, approx. 70 miles away, taken with my iPhone xR, unedited. Getting increasingly unhappy with the photo quality from this phone, so coming around to the idea it's time to upgrade, particularly because I care most about shooting landscapes.
