I like it. Very moody. Nice use of leading lines. Would be interesting to see it as a B&W.
I went back and forth a few times between B&W and colour trying to decide which way to go.
Here is one facing the other way, but not as good IMO because the pier lights are switched off in this section.

You're right, that's not as interesting a shot. I liked the perspective of the other one. Works well in B&W though.

I did a quick edit in Snapseed, hope you don't mind. I really like it in B&W. Looks really atmospheric.

How do you get them so vibrant!?!? they are crystal clear!
Thanks Kenoh. I suspect the impression of clarity has a bit to do with the long exposure (40sec) - a sort of juxtaposition of blurry, moving water/clouds accentautting the stability of the static items. This was the Canon 20mm f 2.8 which when stopped-down is actually pretty high resolution. Didn't have a tripod but rested the camera on a convenient fence post....

The whole series so far has been absolutely pin sharp and so so clear. They are incredible. I am desperately trying to attain that level of ... I lack the word for it... that level of amazing detail and crystal clarity... they are magical! just... bloody well done... bravo!

and my now hyped upcoming NYC trip may not now produce any images if they are not even half as good as these!!! :)

Different take on the lillies.

Shadows by Ken OHagan, on Flickr

Hi Kenoh, I like your use of the corner for putting the lilies and the balancing shadow on the other side. I'd not crop quite so close as imo the top flower needs a bit of 'breathing space above it. Beautiful tones though. I like it a lot.

Thank you kindly. Yes thankfully I am not cropping with scissors! Will have a look at other options... :)
