Is it the tilt-shift that makes it look like a model village?

Yup, it's the effect of tilt-shift that causes the subjects to look like miniatures. I think it's good for only certain scenarios like city landscapes

ha! We did the river cruise last year going from Passau to Budapest. Some great scenery along the Danube.

Lovely photo - what also strikes me is the apparent lack of flare when shooting into the sun like this.
Thanks. I did have a tiny red spot to cloan out. Normally I'd have had my 14-24mm lens with me which is more prone to flare issues. This was my 24-70mm.
Only went to this lovely old pub in Ravenstonedale for a quick drink yesterday, but met some old friends, by accident, and made an afternoon - and evening - of it...

I was supposed to go into the botanic gardens today but the journey was cancelled due to family illness, so here's one from the vault.

Saw this lovely gent today in Blackfriars station and had to get his portrait. Unfortunately his eyesight wasn't great so I didn't get the eye contact I really wanted and I didn't want to keep him from doing his charity collection so I didn't ask him for another shot.
