Puffin from the Western Fjords of Iceland

So alive and focussed on the puffin and its environs with no background distraction- this is publication quality and then some!

Beach volleyball at sunset on Moreton Island.

I've just looked outside at the seemingly endless drizzle - great silhouette that captures beach life beautifully.

Here is another from the weekend.. Buachaille Etive Mor. Not the typical shot with the water in front mind you... - get that next time i am up there!

Personally I like this without the usual obligatory water (and over-worn/eroded footpaths). Like how the cloud just kisses the top of the shepherd...

I may have shared this at some point in the past. It's an older photo, recently processed again.

Even if you have posted before, still glad to see it now. The pink clouds and tree silhouette lift this above the conventional sunset with the boats giving another interesting feature.

Thsnks i am torn. I love the usual postcard shot of this but then it is one of those things that has been done to death. I absolutely loved the way the cloud and mist clung to the hills. In my other imagss you can see it more. Just breathtakingly beautiful up there but yes the tourists are wearing it away.

Thanks guys...much appreciated but you may be sick of seeing Puffins when I'm done. :)

More from my evening in Amsterdam.

Comments always appreciated.

The only comments that come to mind AFB are: "Beautifully composed shot that was well seen. Nicely done!"

Ah but, one's wife / partner / spouse is always the best critic of one's work ;)

Cheers :)

Hugh

Yeah but I wish she would take a day off now and then you know...?

What I love is when my wife glibly points out some errant object in my images, after I've just spent an hour editing it and I haven't noticed it at all! :eek::oops::confused:

Oh god don't even open that can of worms! Lets not start the conversation where she says "I would of... " and you KNOW it is WAY better than your ideas...

I hate photography! :mad::(o_O
