Went a little crazy on ordering stuff on amazon 3 days ago since B&H weren't taking orders at the time. Have a few portrait fashion shoots coming up in a week or 2... Always wanted to try some OCF shoots from vids I've seen. YouTube is dangerous... lol Since this is a pic thread.. might as well make it look artsy. Made it look like it's a dream... because it has to be a dream. Can't believe I bought all this stuff.:(

US Coast Guard security escort duty for cruise ships, Port of Miami. Don't typically see as a passenger, but wife and her sister were departing for the Bahamas and I was on the port jetty watching them depart before spending 3 days cycling around Everglades and Key West before having to return and pick them up. I think I got the better deal!

Goblin Valley . It's a State Park someplace in Utah . There's probably thousands of these mushrooms , which were formed from tidal action eons ago when the place was a tidal swamp . The tide's been out for a while now , leaving this place in a super isolated area . Miles and miles of empty roads before you get there . I half expected to see Gen. Custer being chased by the Sioux , or a wagon train crossing the road on my way in . Wasn't able to stay until dark , but the sky plus the mushrooms have gotta be amazing .

It is amazing at night. Spooky. Is that a snake I hear? A long time ago we pitched our tent just around the corner on a very sandy campsite. We went back for night shots. All pre-digital. Thanks for reminding me to go through old slides again.

The Wattle flowers look amazing at this time of the year, this is Kangaroo Thorn (Acacia Paradoxa) & yes, they do have a good nibble on the leaves, even with those thorns present. We have planted it in our garden to give the tiny Honey Eaters & Wrens somewhere safe to dart into as they make their way across the neighbourhood skies.
