No chance. I recall Mrs AFB and I coming back separately from a concert. The driver in her car missed their turning and went round the M25. I just sat there for hours imagining the worst possible scenarios.
My first job out of college involved me working in semi-remote mountain areas everyday. I had a cell phone, but once I got so far outside of town, signal dropped and it was just a brick hanging from my belt.
Earlier this year, Mrs Darmok hit a pothole and blew out a tire. She called me, and I was not able to get there, so it was at that time I taught her how to change a flat tire—go into the glovebox, and on a piece of paper, there is the phone number for roadside assistance. Tell them where you are, and they will get you on the road again! They were there and gone in 20 minutes.
Would you like a saucer of milk to go with that catty comment? ouch

I want to know what happened to device convergence - one device to replace them all... we seem to be carrying multiple devices....
The smartphone is close to meeting that objective—phone, internet, email, text, calculator, camera, camcorder, wallet, to-do, compass, GPS, and more, but you can only do so far if you still want it to fit in your pocket! That’s what those crazy folding phones are trying to solve, but the price is steep and they seem like a bit of a compromise.
