How well did he race without them? ;)

haha

well he has a spare kart.

he did okay 3rd; he got hit with debris in the 2nd heat from anothher drivers kart, which lost him time and made it really difficult to close the gap with the 2nd placer

Just like pod racing. :D By the way, the ice cream name is Bubble Gum, not Clown Residue as I thought.

Jee, I haven't posted in the photo forums for ages, in fact, I haven't posted in the MR forums much at all either...

Well, anyways, I just a got a new Canon 50mm f1.8 lens which I suppose means that I can contribute to the DOF theme, but I haven't taken many pics with it so I'll just put up an example.

bee on thistle

virividox--nice hardware shot for dof; wardofsky--that's a pleasant dof illustration resembling (to me) brush painted Kanji characters on silk.

300 years

Here's a picture I took of a 300 year old olive tree in the south of France near Nice. I loved the texture of the skin. Like old and wrinkled. This tree must have seen a lot in his life. Like ships coming in from Africa with extroardinary things on board.

Ah…sigh

I love my new D70 :)

LoL.... You bring your camera to the skate park?

It's probably more difficult to take photographs without it. :D

It's a nice shot. Someone must be tall.

i don't think anyone has been posting as much as a few threads ago....

let all try to get back in the habit maybe? would be fun. i am going to try.

anyway- i will have some to post after the 20th or so. some of my new house. some of my fishing/camping trip to the boundary waters.

Great photos everybody! I think the last time I saw a photography thread was like Photography IV, it is great to get back into posting photos.

I don't know if all the following photos are great depth of field shots, but here they are!

has a kind of jim morrison spreading his arms (middle top), "above there is heaven and below there is hell and in-between are the doors.", feel. :D

one of the first shots i took with my new lens... a little dark on the shadow side, but you get the feel of the 300mm zoom. :)
