Do you use only RAW? And do you use manual focus or you focus automatically and just dial in ISO ?

And the shutter speed automatic? Can you dial in ISO and lock it and shutter speed is automatic dialed in?

Manual. So shutter speed is also manual. The only thing I adjust. The red lines shows blown out highlights so I place shutter speed just below that.

A little brighter, a little higher… another image of the comet. This time I used a 15 pro max with a reeflex 2x telephoto. In my opinion the REEFLEX 2x lens is much better on the iPhone than the Beastgrip 1.7x lens. I used the 15 pro max because I only have a case to fit it for the 2x reeflex lens. Soon I’ll get a case for my 16 pro max. Moonlight gently lights up the field. Slight star trails can be seen because of the extended focal length. Night mode for 30 seconds.

i like this photo just a bit more than the one shot on the 16 pro max. seems a touch less noisy and the sky layers arent as defined. well done ToddH.

Thank you very much. I think the difference between the two iPhones was the external lens that I was using. On the 16 Pro Max, it was the beastgrip which doesn’t do too well for night mode. The Reeflex is much better. I might try and go out again tonight to do another shot from a different location.
