(iPhone 16, Edited in Photos)

A Moon shot during the day. iPhone 16 and a spotting scope. By the way, is anyone using this kind of setup? Adds a 60x zoom to iPhone 2x for 120x. Am able to shoot pics 5-10 miles away on a clear sunny dayView attachment 2493980

I have a 10” and 5” telescope that I use for space. For example, M42 the Orion Nebula using the iPhone 16 pro max, a Move-Shoot-Moove iPhone adapter (Tridapter) to mount the iPhone to the eyepiece. Night mode for 30” on the 5” tracked on the Skywatcher Star Adventurer using ProRaw & Lightroom edit. Not bad. But a dark sky is best and will produce better results. I’d like to do this on a 20” telescope or larger!!

That’s an amazing picture that you did at home. As good as a professional telescope at an observatory . Nice job.

Which scope did you use?

I use the Viper HD 20-60X, 85mm. And use an Ollin iphone magnetic camera case w their magnetic adapter. It’s very easy to take a telescopic photo this way. Game changer .

The pic of the Cruise ship was shot from 10.6 miles away on a clear day. It’s not tack sharp, but still never realized i could get a reasonable pic from that far away. Then again, the stars are a lot further.
