Long time lurker, first time poster. I am relatively new to photography (maybe 4 months) so any feedback would be appreciated.

Did not see any response to this yet. I like the composition.
Seems a bit fuzzy, maybe due to ISO 1600. Keep posting, the more you shoot, the better you get.

I shot this one at a wedding on cape cod a while back (not shooting the wedding, just a guest). I like it, but I wish I had used my mini tripod or a sandbag or something to allow a bit more exposure to make it really sharp.

Thanks! Yes, HDR from one RAW.

and another HDR but this time with multiple source images...

<snip image>

what process are you using when you just use one raw file? I can never make mine come out decent at all (on the occasion when I try for an HDR look)

1) I will import the RAWs into Aperture, and then split them into three different exposures - One overexposed by usually +2 exposure bias, one -2, and the original for the midrange exposure.

2) Export those versions as TIFFs with no metadata.

3) Go into Photomatix Pro and merge those differently exposed TIFFs, adjusting the levels in the HDR Photomatix editor as needed for the desired artistic and/or practical needs.

:)

This one was taken in Fiji, Yasawa Islands, May 2006 on my Canon EOS 350D. Sorry i don't have all of the other data.

Kickin'

I know... a pet shot..., so skip it if you want to... ;)Two of my rescued Baja mutts on the local beach. The one on the left (Tequila) was very tentative for the first 10 minutes or so, and then finally let herself go. Her sister (Mini Maus) brings up the rear... just a point 'n shoot, but I like it.

"Even my Grandma...!"

(actually, she's just a good friend of my mom)

This is an image I intend to get some mileage out of the next time that people start moaning that DLSR's are always "too big and too heavy." :D

One of the Candids from the photos I did for my niece's summer wedding. Since she's holding my dSLR, this was digitized from 35mm film.

Off-camera flash

Should have done it with black backdrop but didn't have time to set it up (figured my son might decide grabbing for the toy wasn't a good game soon)
