Although almost a year has passed, this was a day in my life that, for some reason, I think I'll always remember.

Solnar is Lunar New Year in these parts.

Yakamoto, I like your Delirium shots, but there's something not right about the duck shots if you don't mind me saying. Seems like a lot of noise in them, and CA in the first one. Perhaps they're underexposed and you've cropped them a bit too much which has brought the noise and CA out?

Yeah I've noticed that too, but I'm still trying to get the hang of it.
My most recent one was cropped and it looked fine, but I resized it (larger)
in photoshop and thats why I got the noise. The other was just poor conditions outside (overcast). I will get better at it though.

Aha. I'm learning how to use a D40 body I recently got too so that's why I was interested! :D

Great composition. And if you forget about the car it could have been an old
english landscape.

Fish Eagle

Here is a fish eagle in Kenya. Right next to the tree there was a Tawny Eagle, another Fish Eagle and a Marabou Stork fighting for a fish. I will post a picture of them tomorrow.

Eagles and Stork

The Tawny eagle cought the fish and got his fill first. Meanwhile, the Fish eagle was keeping the Marabou stork at bay so he could have his fill next. This is what happened when the Tawny eagle was full.

That's more like it - a great shot! Nice use of fill flash.

However, the EXIF says you used manual exposure and auto bracketing. I thought the D40 didn't have bracketing?

I'm enjoying this one. If I may suggest, my thought is to emphasis the chair more, by cropping it more tightly or bringing out the hilights on the chair more, so it doesn't disappear into the wall and get lost. But I am not viewing it on a calibrated display, so maybe it is just my monitor.
