2/14/07, Ruston, LA

I'm a grad assistant for the LA Tech architecture department. Basically, I'm their in-house photographer. One of my jobs is to follow their 5th year class as they build a Habitat for Humanity home. Well, on this particular day it was cold, wet, and no construction was going on. Just a lot of shoveling mud. So I was scrounging for shot ideas, maybe something different from what I usually shoot there. Then I caught my eyes focusing on the top level of one puddle, reflecting this tree that is currently hanging over the house they are building.

So I took a picture of it.

Third time someone has broken our doorbell.
I figured this time, I might as well use it as a photo opportunity. :p

First photo I took on my Dad's SLR when I was back home. I'm new at this but I just ordered a new camera for myself and it should arrive either Monday or Tuesday. I am so excited. Give me some feedback on the photo I posted.

Thanks-Jack Archer

While we are on the subject of tombstones, here's one I took of Bill Evans' tombstone in Baton Rouge, LA. Not the greatest shot, which is unfair since he was inarguably one of the greatest jazz pianists.

Waiting for the train.

One of the first shots I took when I got my canon 350D. While I was waiting for the train to take friends back to england after the 2005 new years eve party. Haven't seen them since... they arrived savely though.

I took this while sailing in the Tall Ships Race from La Coruña, Spain to Antwerp, Belgium last summer. It was taken pretty much half-way across a becalmed Bay of Biscay.
Please let me know if you like it.

There's a higher quality version... here (I thought I'd give QuickShareIt a test drive).
