Man, I like the black and white contrast in that one! Very stark, shows the texture of the concrete in detail. Good shot!
thank you. I think that is why I like it, the detail in the cement

I love the d80. Even a crop comes out so sharp, albeit with a little sharpening post production.
That's a different perspective on a flagpole!
I looked at your Flickr page - you've got some great shots in there! I can't wait to see some after you get your DSLR...

It's mostly pictures of my newest Granddaughter, but I hope to add some more soon on different subjects.
Thanks Rahrens, I had a wee look at your own Flicker. Looks like a lovely family, you must be such the proud Grandfather.
That I am! Thank 'e, sir! She's the second of three daughters, but the only one with little ones so far. (Or married, either, for that matter!)
It snowed last night. We got about an inch, and I couldn't resist slipping out before breakfast for some shots.
Here is a daffodil I found in the snow.

Great Shot again, I like the way the flower is peaking out from the snow.
Usually at this time of year we would have snow , but we haven't had any this Winter; 15ºc and very sunny here today (Global warming so i'm told).

By way of taking a break from the birds, I'm posting a shot of a monsoon storm as seen from the top of a local peak. A typhoon passed over that day, and the wind danced the clouds merrily.
