That really is beautiful. Is there a lot of hiking?

There are a bunch of trails there, both on the coast in the Calanches regions, as well as centrally near Corte. The highest mountains in Corsica reach 2700 meters, and there was snow there this week. If you're hardcore, you can do the Mer à Mer, which is a coast to coast route that crosses the spine of the island. Here's another picture from one of the high mountain meadows with waterfalls near Corte, in the Gorges de Restonica, probably my favorite part of the island.

Not particuarly good, as I'm less than thrilled with my choice of subjects on which to test out my latest toy...but I figured it had better get going early :)

It gives new meaning to the term "selective focus"

Incredible lens, congratulations. You are right about the photo though, you have not done the lens justice. : )

I'm very much just a point-and-shooter, so I don't know all the technical specifications of my photos, but I took this one back in November and am quite fond of it :) I did use iPhoto to warm the temperature of it, slightly saturate the colors, and darken the exposure to offset my cameras tendencyto "wash-out" everything

I don't know all of the technical specs because I didn't write it down. But it was taken on a Sears KSX SLR with Kodak 400 film, and a 50mm Sears lens.

The first is from a Canon Rebel XT with the 17-40L at f/11 at 1/250 at ISO 1600 using the B&W mode on the XT. The second with the same data.

Was thinking that this was recent. Loving the rumble here at Nutly and Lee Hwy.

Ahh, you are close! I am a big fan of thunder and lightening :) Very different from the weather I am used to in the UK!

You and I need to get together for some joint photo shoots then. Also for tips on getting the most out of a trip to the UK.

I need to get a gallery up of my 24 hours in London up. :)

You know, I was given an old Sears SLR with a Sears lens a few years back, and it took the most amazing pictures. Incredibly sharp, and there was a sort of depth I can't describe to the images. I was so surprised, the camera looked and felt so cheap.

I'm not crazy about the sharpness with it. But I have been pretty pleased with the results, regardless. I have that and a 135mm lens with it. I like to use it for b&w stuff sometimes, when I don't mind getting film developed as opposed to just using my Nikon and doing post.

Took this with my dad's Nikon D50 (SLR digital camera, 6mp, bog standard lens).

I ain't a 'pro' with pictures, I just enjoy taking them, whether they're rubbish or not...

PS, the below image is 2670 x 2000 pix, so you can use it as a desktop if you want!
