Glad you like it :D

No tall corn (barely knee high and no lightning yet).

iso 400

I should have brought the speed down to 1/60 or so and get a better/sharper depth of field - ah well.

I know that its supposed to be one a day - but its the same shot from a different angle :D

I love the detial and color in your pic. Congrats.

Great color and use of DOF with background blur. I would guess this was an evening or early morning shot as it is difficult to get one like that in bright light?

Very nice, I like it. You had tulips in February in NY, or were these from a flower shop? The small aperture (F14), black background, and light from below would indicate you may have used a flash. Care to share the details.

From a flower shop and yes I used the onboard flash plus a little outdoor light.

Thanks. Yeah, I took it around 7 AM, just as the sun was coming up. I couldn't sleep that night so I walked outside and took advantage of the sunrise.

This photo is from a wedding I photographed last night. It was my younger sister. West Monroe, LA, 6/24/06

Careful, getting up early to take pictures can get to be a habit, there is no better light for flowers, and they are always their most colorful in the morning before the heat pounds on them.

Nice wedding photo, I always hated doing weddings (for friends and family), but with a digital I think I would be a little more relaxed (but still a pain) knowing if you had a picture or not. I never knew with film until it was developed.

You are really putting the 50 mm to great use, they really are a superb lens for 1.5-1.6 crop cameras with normal perspective and wide apertures. You really do a great job with selective focus in your pictures.

I also really like this picture...something about the color and the people calls up the feeling that you could actually be there...the setting sun, warm grass...mmm. :)

Ditto. It could definitely have a market in the stock photography world.

Thanks iGary and OutThere for the compliments :)

It does have that 'stock' feeling you would see on a 'Vacation leaflet'

The models were great to work with. (Mainly because its me and my girlfriend celebrating our anniversary). Thankfully my tripod goes everywhere with me these days
