here is today's contribution.
This is my friend Beau he sings for his band Counter Intelligence. they've asked me to shoot their live shows, and their album work ( so of course i said yes ) i've never shot a life performance or anything, so this first gig was a bit of an experiement for me.
on to the shot: I like everything about this one except for a few things.
1- the cropped elbow. was an accident, tried to get his face in the shot, and ended up clipping his elbow. damnit.
2- the blown highlight on his shoulder. this doesnt bother me too much, but it should be easy to correct with a curves adjustment.
3- i got a little too happy with my retouching i think. but thats just a step backwards in removing a layer. But this could be entirely subjective.

Converted to greyscale in Lightroom beta3, all other retouching was done in photoshop cs 2

I am very much pleased with the lens. Very fast AF and very crisp images. The sun can cause problems if it just slightly in the frame or near it.

Normally I edit the image link to just reference it but in this case I'll gladly show it again....AWESOME image SpAtZ. At first glance I thought the pop of the colors was because you B&W'd the background but I see not, that is quite the creature.
