Some kangaroos I seen today while playing golf. All up I must of seen 250 kangaroos over nine holes of golf. They are eastern grey kangaroos.

I really like it, did you do any post processing? It's nice and gritty, without over doing it on the grain.

cheers. yep, added a cross-processed curves layer and a touch of selective burn in areas.

Wow, great work! How did you take the shot without making him jump away? I've never tried a grasshopper, so.....


Haven't been here for months. Been having computer trouble, so I have only been posting from uni, and only sometimes from my own computer.

Anyway....I took some crazy macro shots today, many of which are good but not as good as Freebooter's work, as usual. Instead.....I give you a bird.

Taken today at Wollongong Botanic Gardens. I got lucky. I have lots of great shots of this bird from all angles, looking in all directions. However, I like this one. This was the one shot of this bird that I took at f/10. The others were taken at around f/5.6, and yet I like the large depth of field of this photo for some reason. Usually, I find the opposite to be true.

Wow, my fourth picture post on this page... Slow times on the thread.

On the way down the mountain on Friday I noticed this white butterfly flying around a shaded bush. I decided to stop running and try to use the flash to stop its fluttering motion.

Nice watermelon photo, epicwelshman! I like the color and composition.
Eastcoastflyer, I really like the treatment on your butterfly photo. Seems fitting.

Pure period-faithful reproduction of a classics topsail schooner - no motor at all, plus the anchor in the fore mast is kerosene instead of electric. Owner's webpage is here.

Purposefully shot at -2 stops.

Post-processing: increased saturation & allowed it to darken further, plus some sharpening. A bit hard to see without good monitor calibration.
