Wow it's been a while since my last post here. Things have been really crazy with work and everything. I had a card load of pictures I hadn't even gotten on to my computer until this afternoon. Here's one I picked up last night; no editing except for a crop. More to come as I work through what I have.

I think I have a picture in the same plaza from the other side. Very cool place.

Got lucky and caught a local runner, thought it came out to be the best of the shots from the location. Let me know what you think!

P.s. Love the shot M@lew

Any chance posting some high res versions of your recent critters photos srf4realand freebooter and of some of you photos too stcanard??

I've left my flickr permissions pretty wide open, so if you follow the link there should be an option on the bottom, left to view other sizes -- you should be able to get a larger resolution image that way.

Thanks, for the request!

"Ruins"

Remains of a home, post fire; Worcester, MA. Taken June 14, 2007:

Click the above image for EXIF data. I shot this with my little Sony P&S because I didn't have my D70s on me at the time...

Anyway, this house is next to my best friends home.... Totally renovated and just finished a few months back. I got a call at 3 AM from my friend telling me that his neighbor's house was on fire and his house was in danger of flashing up as well. Consequently, the young lady who lives in the home attends our school. Her and her boyfriend were home at the time, and thankfully my friend's father was able to call 911. The homeowners were on vacation at the time, but were able to make it back to the city by about 5 AM. My friends home was saved, albeit with significant damage to siding and windows, as well as electrical and wiring, which all melted from the heat.

Thankfully, no one was injured, nor were any pets hurt. The owner intends to rebuild immediately. They are investigating the cause (thought to be arson).

Thank goodness nobody was hurt! We've had a few arson problems around Vancouver in the last year.

I really like this composition -- its the kind of picture I wish I could take. I see it in my head, but when I look at it later, I never seem to get it quite right.

More practice I guess.

I found this graveyard holding the graves of some that were born in the late 18th century. Unfortunately some reckless kids have toppled over many of the stones as seen in the back left of this photograph.

Yeah, and good thing that rear stairs were free of any fire, seeing as the bedroom was located on the second floor.

I wished I had my Nikon with me, but I figured any shot was better than none.

Sometimes with my Nikkor 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 kit lens strange things happen to horizons at 18mm... if they're not dead center... some pretty good barrel distortion, but hey, fisheyes have tons of it.
