I found this guy on my deck yesterday and got a few photos of it. I accidentally had the camera on ISO 1600 so it is a little noisy. CC is always appreciated!

I went to a play that my grandma was in, and they had a board in the entrance with pictures of all the elderly actors then/now. I saw a photo of one of the male actors and it really stroked my attention. So I set up my Alien Bee, and got this of my brother, trying to match the look and shadows of the portrait.

f/4.2 (yeah, the flash was overdoing my back light, even at the 1/32 power setting, so i just used the incandescent... cheating? Not if the end result looks good)

Aperture... incredible image. I love the detail and the tones. I never ask this, but is there any way I could get a 1280x800 desktop size from you?

Yesterday, I spent a nice hour or so in a local garden listening to Jeff Rense on the iPod while waiting for bees to land on or take off from flowers I had framed up. Very pleasant...memorable, in fact. This bee was getting ready to launch.
