iGary said:OK, I'm not trying to be difficulyt here , but if everyone could please use the format at the beginning of the thread. It's the place and exact date (even if it wasn't today) that gives some additional interest to the photo.
So please let us know the date, city/state or city/country.
So Peace's beautiful picture would be (if taken today):

It wasn't just for a summer... I was born in Fairbanks on December 27th, 1990, when it was -40 degrees. That picture was from one of my very many trips south to Anchorage, but it was on that day that McKinley was so perfect. I lived in Fairbanks from the day I was born all the way up until the summer of 2004, when I moved to Missouri. It really is so beautiful up there, and if you do go, don't go on tours with a whole bunch of other people. Instead, rent a car, and just drive until days end. Stop in at small shops, pubs, etc., ask the locals where some cool stuff is, and drive some more. The best way to enjoy the great Alaskan outdoors is to go into your own world and to do so with no time limit. Grr! Just thinking of Alaska has made me look on Expedia for ticket prices...iGary said:I'd love to go to Alaska for an entire summer.

Also Gary, is more than one pic from a day OK in this thread? Been spending the evening editing the pics that I took at Rolling Thunder today. Took some where around 250 images. So far I have come up with 9 keepers. Still only 3/4 way through. Don't worry, I am thinking of only two or three.
