This small butterfly was quite cooperative as I snapped away from various angles.

Biking down an alley - I liked the looks of this building.

Arg. I need/want an SLR. This would look so nice taken with an SLR.

What kind of camera are you using? I use a Sony H5 since I just started getting into photography about a year ago. I am very happy with the pictures. But maybe i'll eventually move up to an SLR. It seems like almost everyone that actually puts there camera info up with their pictures are using SLR's. I'd be interested to see more non-SLR but SLR like camera pictures like the Sony H5's or Canon S5.

I thought this was a cool painting on the sidewalk, in front of an elementary school.

beach stream pic

Man this pic brings back memories of my youth. Funny, you posted it on the day I left to go up to my grandmother's funeral. My family and I would always visit her each summer in Southern Oregon and we'd take a month traveling around in our trailer and her little RV along the Oregon and Northern California coast. It's been awhile, so I don't remember many names of where we stayed, but that stream looks darn familiar. Do you remember where you took it?

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother... it sounds like you used to have some good times traveling with her along the west coast. The picture I posted of the stream running through the beach was taken on the beach at Nelscott, a little community which is now part of Lincoln City, OR. Cheers.

I was experimenting with shutter speed settings one night on Storrow Drive in Boston and this was the one of the better shots I walked away with. Any comments or suggestions for future improvement would be greatly appreciated!
