Great pics everyone! :)
This isn't my typical bug macro, but I had a chance to see these lovely birds yesterday.

The Last of my nightshots for the moment ( I Think). This is taken from one of the many bridges over the Clyde in Glasgow looking towards the Gorbals.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorbals(incase anyone is interested)
I was a bit disappointed in the sharpness of this one, but I liked the colours.
I've been trying to take these shots as quickly as possible as Glasgow isn't the place to be wandering about alone at night with a £600 camera ; )

Thanks PDXflint.

Nice flower, doesn't suffer from being at iso800 at all.

Thank you very much. I always forget to change my ISO settings back after shooting with them up high. I really love your pic of the bridge, the colors are awesome!!

Here is my 3yo helping us wash the windows. Thanks to all who have posted positive remarks, I find it hard to submit images when I see how good some of you are, and a little validation makes it much easier.

WOW...
This is an AMAZING shot!! Very very nice... what camera\lens did you use??

Exif information of that shot says:
-D40x
and:
-focal lenght: 55mm
-aperture used: f/5.6
-max. aperture at that focal lenght: f/5

but the the other tags regarding focal-lenght and aperture are missing, so my guess goes to the '18-135/3.5-5.6'

but i am probably so wrong about this.

Veritas&Equitas thats up in Perth, Scotland. The land to the right is parkland now sure it used to be a stately home in the past. That river runs right through the middle of perth. Its a lovely place I highly recommend it.

I might start adding some of mine. I have a lowly Minolta Dimage A1, DSLRs where far too expensive when I bought this and couldn't justify one as a rank amateur.

I've been there ! It's a very nice island, we stayed in a hotel very near it. That was a really nice trip. Didn't have a good camera with me though then...

Taken from up high on Cape Foulweather (named by Cap'n Cook, I think) on the Oregon coast.

Thank you! I probably should have added my exif, but I was posting quickly. It's the 18-55 f3.5-5.6 kit lens from my D40x. I wish it was the 18-135!!
