Now you mention it it does look like a cup of coffee. It's actually a dirty plate with a fork running across the top. Its the colour and abstractness that appeals to me, not the quality. I would love to expand it to wall size just to see the impact it might have. I'll go back to serious photo's now.

My first attempt at HDR, 3 shots 1 ev apart (the exif is from the normally exposed image) non hdr image is on my Flickr (link on my sig)

I really like your last 2 shots, the one with the 2 separate images in b&w .

Really eerie shot of the pond, and I like what you did with the eye.
Shieldyoureyes

To be honest I prefer the non HDR shot. The HDR shot just doesn't do it for me.

Thanks Roco. :)

This one just has to be large view. Too much going on. :D

Really nice, especially the one on the right...

Thanks. :)

Great b/w shot of your son... he looks completely engaged.

Here's one I took with the Canon A95 p/s sometime this last spring shortly after dawn.

My girl took this one. I put some blur on the edges to give it more of a antique look I guess. Please critique my pictures I am new to this and I want to get good.

I'm on nightshift this week so I threw my tripod in the back of the car and have been grabbing a few shots while I'm out and about. This is the Glasgow science centre taken from the Govan side instead of Taking it from Finnieston ( The other side of the Clyde)

Freebooter
Excellent shot of the moth (as usual)

Fantastic shot (The back of the lot), almost looks CGI.

To be honest I prefer the non HDR shot. The HDR shot just doesn't do it for me.

I'm actually inclined to agree with you, I wasn't sure about the hdr myself but thought I'd post that version anyway. It lacks contrast but still looks kind of Posterised.

dusk at Las Palmas, Baja California Sur

It's not really sharp since it's handheld at 1/13th sec, but I think it captures the mood that day down in Baja after sunset. This is a remote beach south of Todos Santos called Las Palmas, since you have to walk through a palm grove oasis in the desert to get to it...

Nice study in black 'n white. I can imagine some kind of 'underground' club behind that door.

Steamie: Great shot (Dark Side.) The exposure seems just perfect. The warm tones give it a surreal look.
