You've changed this picture since you first posted it, right? I like the picture, but in the first version the eyes were very dark and I didn't feel a connection to the girl, but you've brightened/lightened the eyes now, haven't you? For whatever, reason, the picture now speaks to me, and I love it.

Taken using my Nikon D50 and Sigma 24-70 mm lens during the afternoon. The flowers were massive and had these amazing lines swirling from the centre of the flower. I'd show you the entire flower, but the shots where I didn't capture the sky or anything else behind it seemed to look nicer.

Yep. I was looking back at the PSD and ran it through a quick shadow/highlight and then fixed some levels on that layer, then blended. Uploaded it but didn't think anyone would notice. Thanks.

Oh and from earlier, the distortion was intentional. I enjoy back alleys, wide angles, and being very physically close to the model for some portraits. The photos seem to "wrap" around the subject for a nice effect at times.

This was taken while I was walking in my area. It was on a small street near Laruier, however I don't remember what it was called, but I really found this wall to be neat.

This has to be one of my favorite sculptures--it's so cheerful.

Here's something different

I set the record for this thread in 'zoom lens' :)
This is a transmission electron microscopy image taken yesterday at work. The image is of the atomic interface between AlN on the left-hand side and silicon on the right-hand. The magnification is 800,000X  . 100% crop of 11 megapixel scanned image from kodak film.

Enjoy my nerdiness :)

Awesome! Got it in 1680x1050 for my wallpaper? :)

I haven't got PM or a website - if someone can tell me a place I can post, then I'll do the necessary and re-post a desktop-res version...:)

I have my own domain (& plenty of space) - - normally, I'd just suggest that anyone needing this type of service just email it to me offline (hugh@huntzinger.com).

I am, however, going to be offline this weekend, so I can't do it overnight this week. But if that's okay, zap me a copy, tell me where I should announce the URK link (ie, this thread, etc), and I should get to it by next week.

FWIW, this general offer applies globally to anyone with such an occasional need here in MacRumors dPhoto group.

Bogged down in code; 24/08/06; My ibook

Sorry for the farcical take on it all, but I haven't had the chance to get out shooting for the last week. I have to get my latest website finished and at the moment I feel as though I am drowning in a black hole of code and am never going to reach the end. AAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

Oh well, back to work:(

This is a large advertisement near my house. It was taken on the corner of Parc Ave. and Villenuve.

I'm not 100% sure what the sign says because my french is not great. I think it says "The pleasure of anticipation."

I took this at a music/crafts festival last month. I loved the colors, and the patterns on the glass. :)

PS: Does anyone know of a script that can overlay an image in the center of another? Say if I created a background image, just black and it says "Kevin Schaefer" under it. I use Automator to resize all the pictures, does anyone have a script that can combine them? Sorry to change subject.

Mais oui! I'm sitting here laughing at this photo because having arrived home from work a little while ago and having fired up the computer to catch up on MacRumors, I'm enjoying a Stella Artois even as I type! It is a really delicious biere! Someone on here actually has the screen name "Stella," in honour of this delightful brew....
