cropped by 1/4 or so, dodged along the trail and shadows of the shack.

The gardens at the mountain-urban interface feature ramshackle shacks, shakily built. I pass this one each time I run up the mountain. I start to run from where I took the picture, the trail going up steeply. This view therefore holds special associative significance for me.

Any more specifics where in Colorado? What a gorgeous shot!
Thanks!

It was some time ago so I can't pin down the location, but I came across that scene while driving on one of the local highways through the Rocky Mountains. It may have been Hwy 82, Hwy 114, or Hwy 9. I had to stop and take the shot. The high altitude accounts for the crisp clean air.

Taken in the plant district near Dongdaemun, Seoul. Illustrated here is an example of the typical Korean street merchant set up and the typical Korean street look-at-that-foriegner stare.

I like this photo... although I'm not too happy about the blown highlights. I'm hoping I get a chance to shoot it again - with a tripod, and from a lower angle so I'm getting more of the ceiling and less of the floor.

Cool. That reminds me of a shot I've been meaning to upload.

Your camera has some truly amazing purple fringe. Looks like the tree is in bloom. ;)

What with the very hot and humid summer almost over and the impending onset of fall, I'm already looking forward to those crisp days when ol' Jack Frost is nippin' the nose and biting the exposed cheek. Oh Yeah! I can't believe this panorama was taken less than a year ago. I stitched several shots and stretched it vertically to show more detail.

edit: For some reason it uploaded smaller than I expected, oh well...

Thanks, glad you like it...let's see yours ;) As for the purple fringing, it's mainly because of the extreme add-on lens, which also adds quite a bit of the lens flare you see there too. Cool effect though:cool:

I took these photos one night on the way home from work during the monsoon season. I was standing under the awning of the convenience store where I buy my milk, ice-cream, etc. A nice family runs the place. Across the street is the bakery that sells me my daily bread. A friendly couple runs that place. The blue sign, centre-right, is another convenience that I used to frequent until I got tired of the unfriendliness of the wife half of the couple that runs the place. Notice that there are no sidewalks--there's not enough land to put those on the side streets. You really have to keep your head up when walking or biking.

Congrats on a well executed image.

An explanation is in order for this image. We have a room at work where my bosses store a lot of stuff that isn't really any use to them, but they like to much throw away. I was in there looking around for something cool to shoot, and I found this skeleton model. It's big - 30" or so - and incredibly detailed. My bosses' father (they're twin brothers) was a doctor, so I assume it was his. In any case, it's really cool.

Taken September 9th, 2006, my computer room.
