The Other One, by Tilted Barn Brewery. They describe this one as having strong notes of dank mango, citrus rinds, and tropical fruit. I tell you, they hit all those on the nose and the beer tastes fantastic as well

Went to the Achelse Kluis again, with my dad. We both bought quite a few interesting trappists. This was our haul:

(Not pictured are the Achels beers)
I bought the Orval, one Chimay Triple and one Chimay Strong Blond. He bought the others.
To our surprise these were significantly cheaper than in the supermarket. For example the Westmalle Triple was 1,75 compared to 2,30~ in the supermarket!

Currently enjoying a Grimbergen Blond, while the others cool for enjoyment in the weekend 😌

My first time ever trying out Orval. If they had the glass in stock yesterday (which they did last time but didn't think of buying o_O ) I would've bought it too.

Anyways, what a wonderful beer. Like nothing I've ever tasted before. I can't put my finger on what it tastes like, but it kind of reminds me of baked pears.

I am sooo looking forward to whenever I get the chance to buy it again! Currently enjoying a Achel Dubbel (previously known as a "Bruin")

I've heard the Orval tastes different every time since it's a monastery first and a brewery second :p

Sadly they don't sell these in our supermarkets! I guess that makes it all the more special!

What a gorgeous bottle (and beer).

Agreed: Orval - which I like - is quite different to most of the other Trappist beers that I am well acquainted with.

Every now and then I will grab a single can of somethingbInfind intriguing, or sounds a bit unusual. This one here fit the bill - its sweeter than I thought, but its actually quite delicious. I wouldnt drink more than one though.

Brewed by Hardywood down in Richmond, VA.

## I retract my earlier statement - the first couple of sips were delicious, after that, this beer was just way too sweet. It went down the drain.

Here's one I enjoyed recently -- 'Helios' .. Dortmunder .. golden lager -- crafted at/by Hoyne Brewing Co, Victoria, BC -- a refreshing, bold and flavourful taste - a first try of this product of theirs, and will definitely not be the last one!! A fine craft brewing company -- first tried a few years ago via a trip to Victoria. So glad we can now get their fine products here. Have tried several, and highly-recommend them.

Goin' with an okd faithful today. Got a hankerin' for some smoked queso, so while the smoker comes up to temp, I am enjoying a cold one

Had a couple of these this week as well. Delicious!

Downtown Berlin this September 15th, I was showing my daughter “Prost” and looking the other drinker into their soul via the eyes.
I had a Dunkel and Francine a Pilsener

We flew home to Michigan the next morning.
That is a lovely picture, and a terrific thing to do; hope you both enjoyed yourselves.

And the beer - especially the dunkel - also look amazing.

Thx, we hosted a German high school foreign exchange student 2015-2016, Janine. She became so integrated into our family, well she’s my German daughter. She got married, hence we flew over to be a part of her day. Below is our final dinner , with beer, before coming home.

One of my favourites has returned: Piraat Blond (10.5%!!)

I went to the Lidl to get groceries and after many months they again had a whole assortment of Belgian specialty beer. So I of course had to get multiple cases of these at 5,99 for a pak of 4. (Also got 4 Crius at 4,99 and Kwaremont)

Looks divine; do enjoy.

I love the both the bottle and the glass the beer is served in.
