Wonder if we can get that one in WI. Sounds like something I'd like to try.
Currently enjoying.
I think Lagunitas (like Stone, Ballast Point, & the like) can be found most anywhere. They are now 50% owned by Heineken that is allowing them broader distribution. For the record, it was quite good!Wonder if we can get that one in WI. Sounds like something I'd like to try.
My thinking was because it's a limited release it might be limited to the areas around the brewery.I think Lagunitas (like Stone, Ballast Point, & the like) can be found most anywhere. They are now 50% owned by Heineken that is allowing them broader distribution. For the record, it was quite good!

hmmp.
never had one.
A beer consumer of a similar vein. Two Hearted is a personal favorite.
for the weekend AKA Friday night.
I am a big fan of Avery Brewing; wish I would have held on to this bottle for a little while longer. Samael's Oak Aged Ale; 16.3% ABV with a very sweet finish

Wow. An ABV of 16.3% for a beer? That is almost into fortified wine (some port and sherry) territory........
I don't think that I have had a beer where the ABV exceeded 13%.
What was it like?
My friend, this was quite good - the first thing that hits is the alcohol, warming the chest, but then there's a sweet finish to this that really surprised me. I love Avery Brewing - TWEAK and Uncle Jacob's Stout are two of my favorite, and they are 16 - 17% ABV. They make some really strong stuff, and I like to try different ones as they are available. I cant wait for their coconut porter release next month!

I was fortunate enough to have been sent 2 of the hardest to acquire/best IPAs in the land from a friend on social media. The Alchemist Brewery in Vermont's Heady Topper, and Focal Banger.
A link for those curious, and they are indeed charming. Never tasted a Belgian beer I didn't like. For those who like pictures (I don't have a digital camera - or an iPhone and thus cannot post pictures), I a currently sipping a few beers from the Achouffe stable (in Belgium), a La Choufffe, followed by a McChouffe.
Take a look at the labels - they are among the more charming in the beer business.
