Why I like grocery stores in Europe:
Local and imported beers, not just European as you can see from the Brooklyn brews on the shelf. Do note the Calvinus beer allegedly made from a recipe by old John Calvin himself (a decent wheat beer actually).

A small treasure trove of this very beer was shown to me today in my favourite beer shop; bliss indeed.

A fantastic DIPA sent to me from a friend that now lives in Virginia.
Wife surprised me and got me a bottle of Bourboun barell aged Chimay Grand Reserve ale. I Grilled up some rib eye steaks, brats, and pineapple and we had a great dinner

A good spot in Richmond, so I hear. Might have to take a ride down there sometime. We were just at Lickinghole Creek Brewery in Goochland, VA; I think its about 25 or so miles outside of Richmond. Wife and I took a drive down there from Northern VA. Picked up a couple bottles of their bourbon barrel coconut quad (its AMAZING) and also their Great Commander
This is like drinking a Reeses peanut butter cup. OMG so good

Glad you liked it. I trend toward hoppier stuff, but as a life long lover of Reese's will have to try
The excellent quadruple stout from Buxton - Yellow Belly - also - if memory serves - seems to have a touch of peanut butter flavour. They describe it as "a peanut butter biscuit stout" and it is delicious.
No pictures, but am currently sipping a Trappistes Rochefort 10, - superb Belgian quadrupel style beer - in, (or from) a Trappistes Rochefort Belgian glass beer chalice.
