What makes this so special? The girl walked in on a conversation with her bosses boss about getting some, and was offered a 4-pack. For nearly $30 bucks!!! There is 'CEO Stout' from Right Brain Brewing that sounds similar. CEO is for 'Espresso, Chocolate, Oatmeal'.

I'm hitting the Stone's Ripper, and Tangerine Express, pretty hard lately. Hoping for warmer weather, and no storms.

I got no better way of saying it other than "its magic in a bottle".

Something close to brewing perfection if you like rich, beautifully balanced, gorgeously voluptuous and spendidly alcoholic stouts (and porters)?

The CEO Stout goes over like a velvet covered hammer. I'm anxiously waiting. Is it better warm, or cold?

That depends on a number of things, to my mind.

Firstly, whether it is winter or summer - I have far less tolerance for cold beers in winter, and secondly, there is the question of the nature of the beverage itself.

While lagers can be served cold, serving them too cold can dull the taste and and knock the flavour out; a cool lager in summer, yes, but, for winter drinking, and for sipping porters, I find I have come to prefer serving them at something approximating to a room temperature, especially in winter. Too cold and you run the risk of numbing those beautifully balanced flavours - I want to be able to taste this example of the brewer's art.

So, a highly alcoholic porter will be stored in a cool room, and will never meet the interior of a fridge. It will be poured into a goblet, or chalice, and sipped and savoured with pure pleasure.

Ah, now this is a beer I have never laid eyes on, let alone tasted, but - naturally enough, I do know of it.

Actually, as I learned only yesterday, my favourite delicatessen/off licence did indeed receive two crates of this nectar, but, as I was abroad at the time, all unknowing, the event passed me by and the contents of both crates were snapped up at the speed of light.

I have requested that - should another crate make an unexpected appearance - that several bottle see discreetly put aside for me in the event that I am abroad at the time.

Anyway: Tasting notes, please: How does this compare to and contrast with the legendary KBS?

I remember something called 'Matilda' which was nice, easy on the tongue. It was in a wine bottle sized container. Still just as good from beginning to end.

It's made by that traitor Goose Island, so I'll be passing on it more often. I hate sellouts.

I can't argue with that.

I try to convert as many people as I can away from American corporate yeast piss. Occasionally I get a wild one. One guy drank nothing but Miller and Busch. I got him a nice imported IPA in a glass, and he practically pooped his pants! Said it was the BEST THING I'VE EVER DRANK! I pried his eyes open, and they are probably still open now I'll bet.

Life is too short to drink bad yeast pee...

Ah, yes.

I do have two crates of beer that sort of resemble what you have posted.

But - seriously - it is a terrific beer - one of my personal favourites - do enjoy. Especially over the Easter week-end.

Looks amazing; tasting notes will be read with great interest.

This Friday so far.

What can I say? Terrific selection - do enjoy.

Last night, I decided to greet the 'Konrad' beer (from Lervig in Norway) - a superb stout.

My local beer store usually gets a case once a week, and it's usually 1 per customer. I sometimes make my brother go get me another, haha. I have one left in the fridge!
Who is your hookup for Tree House??
Beer trades man. All these IG haze bros on the east coast want my Monkish lol
[doublepost=1522541598][/doublepost]Went to a can release @ Green Cheek Beer Co in Orange, CA today. Picked up a crowler of this very solid IPA.
