A tart saison aged in French oak barrels with boysenberries, blackberries, and cherries.
Quite fantastic.

Sounds and looks amazing; boysenberries, blackberries and cherries? Yum.

Realize Truth, Belgian quad aged in rum barrels. 13% ABV, and damned good

Oh, whimper. Where (and when) can I lay hands on one? I just adore Belgian quads......

Do enjoy your respective beautiful beverages, @Mattlike and @diggy33.

Loved this one. I had two and my wife wouldnt let me drive home - that 13% kicked in real fast. This is from a small brewer close to my job, and they had it on tap, not sure if they have bottled it yet.

How did it compare to/contrast with those other splendid Belgian Quads - St Bernardus 12, or Rochefort Trappistes 10?

Knowing my own preferences, I know (not "I think") that I would love it - I adore the seriously good Belgian quads.

Of course your wife wouldn't let you drive home; after three of those, I'm not sure I could accurately call my own name to mine, let alone remember where I reside.

It was good, very good, but I dont think its St. Bernardus or Trappistes 10 good, YET. And maybe thats because I am not used to ales aged in rum and I just need to aclimate my taste buds to it. I definitely wouldnt pass it up if it was offered to me

This is Kokomo, by Aslin Beer Company, an imperial stout conditioned on Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee beans and cocoa nibs. Its 15% ABV, and with each sip the flavors of coffee and chocolate became more pronounced, one never overpowering the other, but giving an equal balance that led to a very smooth drink. I have two more csns (the last ones they had available) and cant wait to open another!

Late Night by Highland Park Brewery. Imperial Stout with with Pacamara coffee from Trystero and roasted coconut.

Looks gorgeous, but I also would hope that the glass is more stable than appearances might suggest.

Intriguing; must keep my eyes open for an ale aged in rum and see how I find it.

Now, that is a beverage that sounds - and looks amazing. Savour every last drop.
