Must say that I love the Tree House glass.

And I assume that the beer was every bit as delicious as it looks.

I had a nice Father's Day lunch at Russian River

and of course a Pliny for the A's game.

Sigh.

Enjoy.

I have never even seen a Pliny in the wild, let alone manage to taste one; evidently, a treat is in store for me. But, do enjoy.

For now, I am sipping a glass (proper Belgian beer chalice) "Victory At Sea" from the excellent Ballast Point brewery.

@Scepticalscribe it was new-to-me as well.

It has a terrific color, just a slight hint of red, kind of copper color, initial pour it's a little hazy - the bourbon/oak is really up front (great bourbon aroma), very defined, but it kind of settles back into a terrific malt, brown sugar/molasses but behind it, a nice hoppy bite, that pushes through to a perfectly hop finish, citrus/pine, considering the ABV, didn't feel overly boozy. It's a like a sweet shot of bourbon followed by a solid IPA before you've completely finished the former. :D

Very highly recommended (Founders so not surprised)

Note my bottles were stamped with a 04.18.2018 bottle date, and a measured ABV of 12.2% ;)

Great review, and thank you for taking the time & trouble to write it & post it; I'll most certainly keep an eye out for it. I might even drop a gentle hint to my off-licence to see whether they can lay hands on it, as I love almost all of the beers I have tasted that have hailed from the Founder's stable.

Mmm this is quite good. First IPA that I have tried from Clown Shoes Beer. Very smooth and drinkable, with a mellow pineapple taste on yhe back end, and low bitterness

Nice, my local supplier had several beers from Clown Shoe, I'll give them another look next time I'm there.

Though ... clowns ... <shivers>
