Now, I know it is not a bottle, but for Belgian classics, a nice (Belgian, or even elegant) beer glass just seems to flatter the beer that bit better.

The actual glass that Delirium Tremens itself is usually served in, in Belgium, is impossibly and ridiculously and gorgeously cute.

Lots of little pink elephants.
And I have a bottle in the fridge.

I just happen to see it in a can, which I'd never seen before, while I was picking up some Bass Ale and thought I'd get one of those too!

Hope you enjoyed it.

The bottle is gorgeous.

In truth, those beers don't necessarily need the proper Belgian glassware (though they look better - and possibly taste better - with it), but a standard glass goblet will enhance them considerably.

Now, that is a glass. A proper, real, beer glass. Elegant, as well.

(I won't even ask why your other glass may have been thrown away.....)

The glass (for delirium Tremens) that I had - a lovely little goblet, came with several fetching pink elephants.

My mother's carer - a wonderful Filipina who has lived with us for almost six years - fell in love with it.

Naturally, I gave it to her.

A work of art? Oh, dear.

Fulton Barell aged. So rich, takes me 45 minutes to an hour to drink one.

Looks wonderful and I hope you enjoyed it.

Actually, it takes me around 45 minutes to an hour (or even more) to drink the Belgian beers I am so partial to.

People in a pub in Brussels will sit reading a paper, (or on their phones), sipping a beer slowly for an hour or so.

I have only ever been buzzed drinking a beer, I enjoy the taste, textures and experience in the same ways others do wine, or other fine drinks. I find that many tend to be better as they warm up!

I have found that many American breweries have quite a few patrons with similar values.

Session lagers are probably best consumed, or drunk, cold (especially in summer), but I agree with you with regard to those rich, robust serious beers; to my mind, they are best served at room temperature, much like a good red wine.

Personally, I like fine wines and seriously good beers.

Unfiltered west coast style - Lizard Brain IPA . Hoped with Citra, Amarillo, Mosaic.

Great notes, loved the aromatics and solid malt build. Cheater hops for sure, but I am okay with that!

Not much of a Lager fan but I agree in that sense. I also find most decent unfiltered IPA, classic Weis beers to be in the same regard of being savored. Not good as warm, I say near cellar temp brings out more of the sweeter notes, as well as the aromatics. I love many with fresh hops.

Agreed, not necessarily served warm, just not served so cold that all taste and sensibility is knocked out of them.

Rich stouts should certainly be served at something close to room temperature; as for IPAs, agreed, cellar temperatures - but not the fridge - bring out the best in the beer.

There will be two beers tonight.

The first, which I have just poured (because this is a compare and contrast session), is an old KBS (from Founders), it dates from 2015, and is one of the very last KBS beers I have, and has been their legendary flagship beverage for some years.

The second, which I shall pour presently, is one that came into my clutches today: A delivery of the legendary CBS (from Founders). One crate. Eighteen of those bottles have come my way, as I managed to lay hands on them.

So, a KBS and CBS (a legend I have yet to taste, a deficiency that shall be remedied this very night).
