yeah but they used to be so popular and now every bike shop I visit don't even carry them..

I agree. I had a very expensive diamondback mountain bike when I was younger. It is actually back home covered, hanging in my parent's garage in So. Cal. It was certainly a bike to be longed for back then. Now, it doesn't seem to be the case.

This is "Pegasus", picked her up for a steal back in January...Trek Madone 4.7, and she flies...

That bike is absolutely beautiful, is that a 2009 model? I'm not seeing it on their site.

Dare I ask, how much did it run you?

Hey Prom1,

Yep that was me. I burst a tube on the way over there. I burst another one on the way home. Wasn't fun. Luckily I ran into a silent ride group and a gentleman was nice enough to give me a tube he had.

Were you the tall black dude waiting for his bike to be prepped? I imagine so since I recognise the Knog Frogs you got.

Oh yeah that was me. I'm only 5'10 not that tall. I've been eyeing the Trek Fuel EX 5, but that is for next Spring. You must be bummed that Parliament screwed up the vote for the bike lanes on University/Avenue road downtown.

I'm completely new to all these bike parts. My Dad used to always build a fixer 10-speed for me growing up until I was 16 (1 on loan when I was 18). I'm talking seriously raw fixies too ... slightly tweaked frames, squeaking noises, and "race" rust included, :p .

I have fear for you guys riding bikes on the street with fixed gear and no breaks! I've narrowly escaped some accidents with those horrible fixies, but Seriously how do you guys avoid getting hurt or smacked by a car?!

It's a Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake, quite an impressive sight considering they're quite rare.

Thanks Skott! That finding made my B-Day weekend and decision to ride with my son all worth it. Wondering if its normal those snakes slither with their heads off the ground, and coiled when startled.

Cool :apple:

Nono. I just wanted to see a real photo! :) Just as I want to see a photo of that Fuji. Your frame is enormous; you must be a giant. The frame even looks too small for you with the saddle that high.

Yeah, she's a 58cm. I'm 6'3". I tested a 60cm but found it just slightly uncomfortable. And luckily the 58 was the last one the shop had on clearance. I like the "smaller" frame, they gave me a longer stem (120mm to 130mm) to compensate for riding a frame on the smaller end for my size, but it feels great on long rides.

Here's a pic of my latest bike. My wife got it for me for Christmas 2009. It's a Marin Kentfield Hybrid. It's a very enjoyable bike to ride; I'm still deciding about the flat bars, though.
