Goal is within a year or so to swap a 3s-gte (st 185) in. This is the engine used in the all-trac model. will be a significant upgrade from my current engine (a 5fse)

My car is the only possession I'm more anal about than my computer

Yah the wood is great in the cadi's . My mum has an escalde the carpet is also very good quality.

What year is the Esclade? If its the pre 2005 or earlier those things have horrendous interiors. I mean its a chevy tahoe + fake wood.

Clarence- I just don't understand why they put white carpets in cars. Its just going to get dirty. I love when cars have light tan leather with black carpet.
That bumper thing looks like a faux brush guard or something haha.

I opted against the body kit and the 18" Hufs, they just seemed like a waste of a couple grand to me.

its odd how vw went and made the hufs an option now when they came standard for the past couple years. What will yours come with.. the denver's(baby hufs?)

the votex kit is pretty nice but a bit too busy for me so I'm just going to color match my rear bumper skin, side skirts and order a front votex lip and call it a day.:apple:

whudya mean by white interior? the cls in the pics is light, but its still beige.

most people that have the kinda jack that it takes to own a car like that dont drive em in the rain, let alone in the mud or snow.

pimps like to stay pretty clean. :D

Yep, I get the Denvers. Unless they made any changes recently to the stock wheels.

I actually like the contrast of the white body and black bumpers. The votex kit is nice, but I still think it looks awesome without.

Its not white but it might as well be. Most people with a CLS won't be driving that in the winter but there are plenty of cars, such as the GX with what I consider white carpet. Toyota's and nissans have it too. My aunts maxima after 3 years of new england road dirt looks absolutely disgusting. My friends mom has a highlander with the light tan carpet and cloth seats, it's probably a year old and its gross already.

I've never really liked Rolls Royce's Interiors. I mean, they are undoubtedly the most luxurious car you can find and they cost as much as a house, but I've always liked Bentley's a lot more. I've been in a Rolls and it was very nice but I dunno, their dashboards are ugly.

Yuck. I don't care if it's a Rolls Royce. Wood trim still looks like crap :D

I don't like the grain pattern in the back of the Phantom, but the grain on the dash is pretty. I also love red woods. I don't mind wood in the cabin, just don't over-do it. lol They're already wasting a bunch of dead animals on the car, why waste a forest as well? :p

If we are giving examples of cars that aren't our own I would like to add Spyker for quality interior candidate.

Problem i find in really really really nice interiors, is they can sometimes be non practical. Like in a Pagani or the Brabus SLR Roadster, Leather floor mats. I mean come on, you don't put leather on the floor where your snowy dirty shoes go, or just shoes for that matter. Problem is that as soon as you sit in the car 5 times, the floor mats look crappy, but oh well, some companies have some really nice cars.

I always feel so uncultured when I look at car threads. To think that I was excited to get a vehicle that had *gasp!* a sunroof and a CD player!

I can certainly appreciate a fine car interior(BMW...ohhhh...so nice), but I'm perfectly happy with a junky one. I figure that I'm not in a car to admire the interior, I'm in it to go somewhere.

But I certainly wouldn't object to going somewhere in said BMW.

Felt I'd join the Volvo club here.

I have some mods on the car, most obviously the eurospec headlights, rear spoiler suspension and wheels. Not much into the "modding" scene anymore. It's more utilitarian than a hobby now.

Anyway I posted more pics HERE
