Probably not. :) I'm in no way saying my car competes with an M5 in any form. I'm not sure what the top speed on my car is. It's usually electronically limited to around 155-160, but my Dinan upgrade removes the limiter.

and I'm not saying that a modded 335i isn't fast, it sure it. I actually love the low rev torque it has, unlike the M5.

What year 750? Didn't some of them have major problems with the engine blocks?

Love the early 2000 7 series, one of the greatest looking cars in my opinion.

My 750 is an 89 and it has no problems. You are thinking of the 740 with the nikasil problem.

Jacked into the net...
nice rice rocket

Haha...yah. It's kinda ricey right now. But once I'm done, I'm hoping it will be more racey as opposed to ricey. Here it is now with the stock rims just before the frame off work to strengthen the body and the suspension work prior to an engine swap...like I said, about a year. It seems that tuning takes money.

I think I'd take the M5's V10 over any I6 twin turbo any day of the week. :p

No one can beat BMW's I6 when it comes to 6 cylinders. Just like nothing can beat the Chevy Small Block V8 for V8's.

The E60 and E92 M's are going to be collectibles. Seeing that the next M5 will most likely see the TT V8 that is in the X5M and X6M( YUCK!) and the M3 going back to the I6 engine with a derivative of the N54.

Granted, it is a little out-dated now, but I would put the 2JZ-GTE at the top of my list of best inline-6 engines. The BMW's are nice, but the mods and power available in a 2JZ is the stuff of legend.

That could be it. I was looking at buying a BMW for a little bit and something about the 7 series and older cars made me think about the engine block and something about not being made of strong enough materials or in the wrong mixture.

Glad to hear yours isn't in the range. Love the 7 series. Parents also had a 93 Range Rover and I loved that car. Well everything except the horn. Drivers side stalk? Why?

I broke mine three times it was pretty excellent. When BMW made the v8 for the first gen 740 there were problem with the metallurgy and as a result the blocks cracked and warped. If you want you can read more about it here. And here is a pic of the RAnge Rover in its current state. Its lifted and has ARB airlockers. No cats and a chip. Makes almost acceptable power. lol

Yeah...Really nice GC8. I really wish I never traded mine in for my old STi. I posted my spec B legacy a few pages back. Check it out.

no but the car is low enough right now.. everything lower than that would just give problems on some streets

truth, it has its ups and downs, ideal set up would be bags, but thats like $2000+ i dont know my 0-60 times but this car does its job. I want to add a turbo but thats $4000
