Nice F01 - although what's going on with the rear leg room here? Is this for private or commercial use?

Just picked up this baby a few weeks ago :)

319g/km of CO2 puts it in one of the highest UK vehicle tax bands at £405 per year!

Followed by a measly 21.1mpg on every journey you make. That huge engine sure comes in handy for merging in to 45mph traffic on the highway huh?

Hey, just because everyone doesn't drive a prius like you do, doesn't mean you can scold them. :D

If you can honestly tell me this video doesn't make your eyes pop out of your head, then you're crazy- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktk8DiEbeRc

The rims on the first two pictures I purchased to replace the stock rims I decided I didn't like the look as much as the ones in the third picture and they are a lot lighter.
It's ok, you can stop lying now, you've been busted!

Too bad you won't be able to drive that much the way it was intended to be driven. ;) At least nowhere around the 405/5/805. :D

It's a nice car all the same.

My Father and I am debating on whether to buy this --> Look

It's a Triumph GT6 Mark 1. 1967.

We would buy it with the intention of restoring it (Faithfully, to a small budget!) and then myself having it as my first car in 4 years time...

I have always wanted one of these, and this car is no exception... It's one owner from new, dry stored since 1980, and has had *no* molestation done to it by people over restoring it.. It has it's original engine, and well... The Straight Six is a beast!

So Pictures -->

OK, you can see rust everywhere you look; but restoring the car will teach me some *valuble* skills of car maintenance, and I will hopefully keep the car for a long time...

We haven't bought it yet, but if we decide, it will probably be in the next two weeks, seeing as we are going to Goodwood next weekend...

Anyhow.. if anyone has any comments! Please ask/say!

That's so funny! My mate bought one when he was 13 (well, his Dad did) with the intention of restoring it and having it as his first car. However, 23 years later it's still in bits and really needs a new body. His is a 1967 and it was originally in Old English White (although yellow when he got it). He got the engine running a few years ago, and it did sound lovely :)

Sounds like identical to me! 13 LOL...

I should hope that funds allow for it to be finished!!

It will just be restored on sort of little bits of money... not on a big scale! Using parts again that can be used, just cleaned and placed back on... I should suspect that most of the body will need replacing...

That will be the most expensive part! We have quite a lot of parts that were used by other cars that can be transplanted onto the car...

But hey!

I don't think that we'll be spending more than £6000!!

It's pushing it.. but it has to economical!

Don't forget about the insurance, I doubt it will be cheap at 17. I'd get something cheap as your first car, you'll be gutted if you crash it after spending all that time restoring it.

If I were you I would watch the Top Gear episode that aired yesterday they did a part on first cars for teenage boys.

And if I were you, I would stop pretending that I have a GT-R after being busted multiple times......

My Big sister has a Minor, it's from 1964, and the insurance is £900... It's a child on parent policy, but combined with the fact my dads been with the vompany since the dawn of time, and the fact it's clasisic car insurance means that we get a good rate... I would expect about £1500 for the first year... I would pay for the insurance... Instead of a new Mac I suppose! ;)

I should think that we'll sort it out closer to the time!

I don't think that my Dad is to concerned abou that at the moment!
