Why not tune a sedan? BMW 3 Series. About $3000 into it. It's my brother's old BMW. Was featured on BMW's site.

If you think all those mods cost $3000 you really have something coming for you. There is no way in hell those mods cost that little... That supercharger alone cost more than $3000.

he's right. and when you start talking BBS for BMWs, yea things are starting to get pricey.

lawl Pos? really, probably one of the cars that will last you the longest, the engines in them are tanks, and last forever, pretty much the best engine Gm made.

it's not the engine i'm worried about. the bearings are shot in both back wheels, it needs a fuel pump, it needs some major power steering system repair, only one of the speakers works, and the volume on the radio is stuck all the way up. that's just for starters.

but yeah...the engine is great. 3800 is a beast.

I love Cherokees. Owned 3 of them, still have my 2000. Perfect size for me and blend of utility and size.

Wish they never brought out the liberty to replace it.

Good to see another Jeep lover here. I've owned four Jeeps so far and I've never had any problems with them. From my experience very reliable vehicles. That inline 6 engine can run for 300k miles and beyond.

I agree with you on the Liberty. I really hope they bring back the Cherokee soon.

I put $3000 in myself. Who knows how much my brother (prev. owner) put into it. And you are all right. The Dinan was the most expensive thing on the list. The last few were mine.

I think the new Liberty looks a little better. Still not a Cherokee though.

I had a 98 Cherokee, 98 Wrangler, and now a new Wrangler JK.

fair enough, the speakers in older gm cars generally suck considering there paper delco peices and the decks well i had a tape deck so i just put a cd deck in xD, otherwise i have a tranny leak in my lesabre which is generally the same car, just yours is moar sporty.

Just got my 2010 mazda 3 today. Its a fun car and was cheap with my lovely government funded $4500 off.

Don't have any pictures of my real one yet but this is the same one and color and all.

Also on Jeepforum.com and jeepsunlimited.com. Great for when the cherokee acts up.

89 Cherokee previously, sold no problems with 160,xxx and a 93 Grand, finally scrapped when the odometer hit 282,xxx and the tranny needed replacement.

Love them, built like tanks and nothing you don't need. I think the magic is gone with the Liberty, no 4.0 inline, no AW4 tranny. Plus I still dig the boxy looks of my cherokee.

Only Jeep I would consder now is an older wrangler, possibly a Rubi.

Gotta love those cherokees. my mom has a 95 5sp w/ the 4.0 inline 6. 150k miles and still runs like a champ; clutch still feels very strong too. when I get a little extra cash I want take it off her hands and turn it into a wknd off-roader.

Now that's a car! I would take that over any BMW, Benz, etc any day!

That is a sweet looking car.

American car manufacturers are really hitting the nail on the head with the outside design of the newest cars...unfortunately, the inside is a different story.

I rode in a Charger today, which I think looks great on the outside...but, inside it is so cheap. I was examining the chrome fascia around the gear selector and tapped it to see if it was metal. When I did the piece gave a little so I pulled on it to see if it was lose and it came off in my hands.
